Bantam 10U Grades 3-4
The Bantam Team is for boys and girls grades 3-4. This team consists of co-ed players that have never played before to played for a couple of years. The Bantam players will learn fundamentals of the game of lacrosse, stick handling, throwing, catching, positions, and plays, growing their love for lacrosse in a fun, exciting, safe, and friendly environment. This is boys-style lacrosse. Full equipment is required.
Ages - Grades
Boys and girls grades 3-4.
*Girls can play on the Girls Team at grade 4
When
Indoor practices are held February through March.
Spring Season runs April through mid-June.
Where
Indoor practices are located at the Bristol Sports Armory.
Spring season practices and home games are at Chippens Hill Middle School.
Away games are held in the surrounding towns throughout Connecticut.
Practices and Games
Indoor practices are once a week. (We understand some players are involved in other sports. Indoor practices are optional for these players).
Spring season practices are 2 times per week.
Games are 1-2 times per week during the Spring season. (Some weeks will have a practice in place of a game)
Coaches will provide the schedule.
Equipment
Equipment is required for all practices and games.
Boys lacrosse equipment include a Helmet, Mouthguard, NOCSAE certified Shoulder Pads/Chest Protector, Arm Pads, Protective Cup, Cleats, Lacrosse Stick.
Helmets, Shoulder/chest pads, arm pads and gloves can be borrowed from the league for a $250 deposit, which will be returned to you once equipment is returned to the league. (Helmet and gloves are guaranteed to be available. Shoulder/chest pads and arm pads are until items run out). A $20 non-refundable rental fee is required for helmets. Protective cup, mouthguard, cleats and lacrosse stick are not available through the league.
Uniform - Jerseys/Shorts
Uniforms are required for all games.
New players must purchase a jersey during registration. The cost is $35.
Returning players will use the jersey they purchased from the 2023 season.
Shorts are provided by the league. Sizes are requested during registration.
Extra Costs
US Lacrosse membership is required annually for all lacrosse players throughout the Nation. The cost is $35 per year and not through BYL.
The Candy Fundraiser is the only required fundraiser through BYL. The buy-out option is $65 or you can chose to sell candy at $2 per bar. The sell-candy option is available until one week prior to the start of indoor practices.
Only one fundraiser is required per family.
You will select your option during registration.
